Senior News Featured on Aging Info Radio

Jul 10, 2012, 9:15 a.m.

Publisher of Senior News 50 and Better Dennis Simonini and Associate Publisher Dawn Williams were featured guests on Aging Info Radio, a program that provides information for and about the aging community. Host Sue Zawacki, who created the show and debuted it early this year on WIND Radio, can be heard at 6 a.m. Saturdays on 560AM. Each week, she interviews expert guests and explores issues related to healthy aging, aging in place, elder care, boomer and senior lifestyles, retirement living, wealth at retirement and related topics. She is passionate about her work and the benefit it brings her listeners.

Simonini spoke about the early days of Senior News 50 and Better, when he and his wife and co-publisher, Barbara, founded the publication. From its launch in 1986, SN50 has grown to its present reach, which includes 12 editions published monthly and distributed widely throughout northern Illinois. Its online presence, SN50andBetter.com, is now part of a national network of senior websites.

Williams, who is responsible for maintaining the quality and direction of the publication's editorial content, marketing efforts and promotion, talked about SN50's overriding mission, which is to encourage readers to make the most of life, regardless of age or circumstance.

The show aired last month and can be heard via podcast by visiting the show's website at www.AgingInfo Radio.com.
